Showri, a resident of Sugar Land, has his Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Osmania university, Hyderabad, India and has a Master’s degree in Water Resources from the University of Connecticut. He joined the City of Houston as a graduate engineer in 1978. He held several positions, including Senior Assistant Director for Water Engineering and Construction Division, and Deputy Director for Engineering, Construction and Real Estate Division.

Currently he is overseeing the planning, design and construction of large diameter water lines to serve the Northwest Houston, outside city limits. Showri has been very active socially and professionally. He held various positions in the Southeast chapter of American Water Works Association (AWWA). He was recently appointed by AWWA to be a member of the newly created AWWA India to assist the water treatment plant operators in India. He is also a very active member of American Society of Indian Engineers and Architects (ASIE) and held the positions of Vice President, Gala Committee Chair in 2014, Advisory Council Chair in 2016, Vice President in 2018. He currently serves as President for the year 2019.

Chaitanya Kasturi is a Vice president and Senior Project Manager at Huitt-Zollars, Inc. a full service design firm transforming how we live, work and connect with our world through Advance Design. She has her Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Osmania University, Hyderabad, India and has a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Kansas. She has over 15+ years of diversified experience as a Civil Engineer providing design and project management expertise for public agencies and private clients. She is also extremely well-versed in roadway design, utilities, traffic control plans, and construction issues relating to urban street and drainage projects.  Ms. Chaitanya has demonstrated knowledge, diligence, and leadership on projects she has managed, and with her ability to quickly analyze problems and outline necessary courses of action assures projects are delivered on time, on budget, and of high quality. Ms. Kasturi is a licensed Professional Engineer in Texas and a Project Management Professional (PMP).  Ms. Kasturi has been an active member of ASCE , ASIE , NSPE  / TSPE for several years. She served as Membership Chair in 2017, Secretary in 2018. She has also served on the Scholarship and Fundraising Committees in the previous years. She currently serves as a Vice President.

Archana Sharma is a project manager at Trigon Associates, a full civil engineering firm. She has  a Master’s Degree in Environmental Engineering from University of Houston and is a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Texas.  Her expertise is in design and construction phase management for water and wastewater treatment and conveyance projects for public agencies. Ms. Sharma is an ASIE member and served as the Board of Director and Programs Committee Chair in 2017 and 2018. She currently serves Secretary.

Mr. Chetan M. Vyas, PE is a Vice President and Principal at KIT Professionals, Inc. and leads the construction management practice. Mr. Vyas has over 30 years of engineering, program management and construction management experience on transit, building construction / rehabilitation, large diameter water lines, utility relocation, pump stations and treatment systems projects. Mr. Vyas has been actively involved in ASIE for over a decade and served previously as Vice President and a member of Board of Directors.  He currently serves as Treasurer.
