President
Vishakha Kaushik, P.E.
Ms. Vishakha Kaushik is a licensed Professional Engineer in Texas working for ARCADIS Water Group on various water/wastewater treatment, storage and conveyance projects for municipal and industrial clients. Ms. Kaushik graduated with a Master’s in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University in 2016. She received her Bachelor of Technology degree in Environmental Engineering from Delhi Technological University (formerly Delhi College of Engineering), India. Vishakha has been an active member of ASIE since 2017. She served on ASIE’s Board as the Young Member Committee Chair in 2018; Membership Chair in 2019 and 2020; and as the Secretary in 2021, Vice President in 2022. Ms. Kaushik has served on ASIE’s 25th Gala Committee, and has also lead the Scholarship Committee and the Holiday Event Committee for ASIE in the past. Vishakha was ASIE’s Young Engineer of the Year 2021.

Varenya Mehta, E.I.T.
Varenya Mehta is a Water Engineer at KIT Professionals, Inc. He has 5 years of experience in Air, Water and Wastewater Engineering and Research. Currently, his focus is on Water Transmission Modeling. He received his Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from University of Illinois – Urbana Champaign. In his free time, Varenya loves doing road trips across USA and has traveled a large number of national parks. His ultimate goal is to support the education of multiple low-income students in the rural region of Laddakh, India and start a scholarship for them. He has served in the Scholarship Committee and as the IT Committee Chair in 2020 , 2021 and as Treasurer in 2022. In 2023, he will be serving on the ASIE Executive Committee and fulfilling the duties of ASIE Vice President.

Aravind Nimma, P.E.
Aravind Nimma is Project Manager at Gunda Corporation, LLC. He is licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of Texas, Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) and Envision Sustainability Professional (Env Sp.). Mr. Nimma has a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University and Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from University College of Engineering, Osmania University. He has over 18 years of experience in various facets of Civil Engineering on projects across the Greater Houston area. He has worked on Public Works, Land Development and Site Development projects involving hydraulics & hydrology, drainage design, sanitary design, waterline design, wastewater pump stations, grading and soil sciences. He is an active member and volunteer of ASIE.
Secretary
Alok Shah, P.E.
Alok is a Water/Wastewater Engineer with AUC Group working on wastewater treatment plants for clients across Texas and surrounding region. He has previously worked at Arcadis and Jacobs Engineering. Alok graduated with a Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Georgia. Alok has served on the ASIE board since 2021 as a Young Members chair and the PR/Publicity chair. He has also been involved as part of the Scholarship committee for 2021.

Kunal Tanwani
Kunal Tanwani is an Infrastructure Associate at RS&H with a primary focus on transportation and aviation projects across the US. Kunal graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, where he was named a Virginia and Ernest Cockrell Jr Engineering Scholar, and a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He enjoys running and biking in his free time and has completed several marathons in Texas. He has been an ASIE member since 2020 and is currently serving on the Board of Directors as the Young Member’s Chair.
Tej Kour, P.E., PMP
Tej Kour, PE, PMP has a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Louisiana University and Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Osmania University. She has over 17 years of experience in various facets of Civil Engineering on projects across the Greater Houston area. She is an active member and volunteer of ASIE since 2014. She served as the Young Member Committee Chair for the organization in 2017; Membership Chair in 2018. In 2022, she will be serving as IT Committee Chair.
Atri Sen, P.E, PMP, MBA
Over the past 20 years, Atri has been at the forefront of responsive project and program management involving multi-disciplinary projects nationwide. As a core infrastructure professional, his experience includes planning, design, and construction projects across the water, transportation, sustainability/resiliency, and emergency/disaster preparedness sectors. He has worked extensively with local, state, and federal agencies, including City of Houston, Harris County, SAWS, TWDB, TCEQ, USACE, DHS, and FEMA. Atri spent a significant amount of time working on grants management and other infrastructure funding analysis, including FEMA HMGP, CDBG, WIFIA, RESTORE Act, GOMESA, and others. Resilient, sustainable, and equitable infrastructure solutions delivery is at the core of his professional philosophy. In his current role, Atri manages all professional staff in WSP’s water business in Texas. Atri is a graduate of Purdue University and recently completed his MBA from University of Chicago Booth School of Business. As a member of the ASIE Board, Atri will Chair the Programs Committee leading ASIE’s events focused giving back to the community through volunteer work and mentorship.
Karthik Balasubramanian
Karthik Balasubramanian has extensive engineering and management experience in the Oil, Gas and Energy sector. Karthik has executed conceptual design, Pre-FEED, FEED, and Detail engineering phases for refineries, LNG facilities, and Ethane Cracking Units. He is a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of Texas, and Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM). Other Certifications include LPST Project Manager and Qualified Compliance Inspector of Stormwater in Texas. Currently, Karthik is a Project Manager- Civil/Structural/Architectural for Capital and Expense projects at Covestro. Karthik obtained his M.S. in Environmental Engineering from Lamar University and B.S. in Civil Engineering from Mumbai University in India. He has been an ASIE member since 2008 and served as a Board of Director, Membership Committee Chair, and Treasurer. He was awarded “Young Engineer of the Year-2014” by American Society of Indian Engineers.
Vidula Bhadkamkar, PE
Vidula has over ten years of experience in Water/Wastewater Industry. She has a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering from Mumbai, India and Masters degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech). Vidula currently works as a Senior Engineer for Carollo Engineers, Inc.,. She has worked on pipeline and pump station, wastewater treatment plants expansion, construction management, hydraulic modeling, asset management, program management, piloting and master planning projects for several public agencies.
Vidula has been an active member of ASIE since 2015. She has been involved in planning events such as the ASIE Gala and helping out with Scholarship applications and will be serving as the Membership Chair for the 2023 year.
