Apoorv Kumar has over 12 years of experience providing design, construction management and inspection services in the Greater Houston Area. He has worked on water treatment plants, drainage, roadways, parks and educational projects for several public agencies and private industry clients. A graduate of Texas A&M University with Master of Science in Construction Management and also holds a Master of Science degree in Project Management and Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering. He is currently working for PMG, LLC as a Vice President. Apoorv has been an active member of ASIE since 2014.
A leader and entrepreneur by nature, Dr. Karun Sreerama is the Principal of Concept Engineers, Inc., a 30-year firm achieving civil and structural engineering excellence in the Greater Houston area. Dr. Sreerama was previously the Director of Public Works at City of Houston and prior to that the CEO and President of ESPA CORP, Inc., a Houston, Texas based firm. Dr. Sreerama was previously the Executive Vice President and Member of Board of Directors of Simply Stocks, Inc., a public company fundamental financial database aggregator, which was acquired by Capital IQ, a Standard & Poor’s/McGrawHill company.
Sreerama is a Registered Professional Engineer in Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma. He is a Certified Advanced Asset Management Professional and a graduate of Executive Leadership Program from Stanford Graduate School of Business. Dr. Sreerama obtained a BS in Civil Engineering from Osmania University, India. He was awarded a University Gold Medal at University of Roorkee (IIT-Roorkee) for being the outstanding Post Graduate Engineering student. Then Sreerama attended University of Cambridge, UK on a Cambridge-Nehru Scholarship. He then earned his PhD from University of Missouri-Rolla. He also has an MBA from The University of Texas at Austin.
Showri Nandagiri, who has served as the Engineering Coordinator for the North Harris County Regional Water Authority since 2004, retired from the City of Houston, Department of Public Works and Engineering, as City Engineer and Deputy Director. Showri worked for the City for more than 25 years and is highly regarded and widely recognized as one of the premier engineering professionals in the potable water field. A resident of Sugar Land, Showri has his Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from India and has a Master’s degree in Water Resources from the University of Connecticut. After working briefly for Turner, Collie and Braden Inc. in Houston, he joined the City as a graduate engineer in 1978. He held several positions, including Senior Assistant Director for Water Engineering and Construction Division, and Deputy Director for Engineering, Construction and Real Estate Division. He was responsible for managing the Surface Water Transmission Program for the City of Houston for over two decades.
Mr. Kilambi has 28 years of experience as a civil engineer, providing services to municipal clients. He has significant experience in water and sanitary sewer replacement design, studies, rehabilitation design utilizing trenchless techniques, tunneling, design, analysis, and construction of sanitary sewer systems, water distribution and transmission systems, roadways, and drainage facilities. Mr. Kilambi is well experienced in working with many municipal and governmental agencies on issues that are their concern. He is involved throughout the entire project effort from conceptual phase to design through construction. His talents range from planning to design to management to construction management. Mr. Kilambi currently serves on the Board of the Underground Construction Technology Association (UCTA).
Ms. Kaushik is a project engineer with over seven years of professional experience supporting drinking water treatment projects across North America. Her industry experience has focused on maintaining drinking water quality in the distribution system, including writing the Nitrification Action Plans, drinking water corrosion control issues and helping utilities comply with lead and copper rule revisions. She also has experience in delivering design and construction projects for various water treatment plant improvements, including preparation of design and construction packages for various treatment plants, pump stations, lift stations, and related improvements for municipal and industrial clients. She is a chapter author on AWWA Manual M58- Internal Corrosion Control in Water Distribution Systems; AWWA M68 – Water Quality in Distribution Systems, and a Chapter lead on AWWA M20 - Water Chlorination/Chloramination Practices; and M65 – Onsite Generation of Hypochlorite.
