Ravi Yanamandala is the President of Geotest Engineering, Inc., a Geotechnical and Materials Testing consulting firm. The company employs 75 people in the Houston area and serves clients across Texas. Ravi has over 32 years of experience in engineering consulting, project management and strategic planning. He obtained a Masters in Civil Engineering from The University of Texas at El Paso, and an MBA from The University of Texas at Austin.
Ravi is currently serving on the board of ACEC Houston and on the Advisory Council of ASIE. He also served in various leaderships roles on the boards of ASIE, TAG Houston, ACEC Texas, and Houston Engineering and Scientific Society. Ravi is passionate about mentoring students, young professionals and entrepreneurs.

Dr. Srinivas Chintalapati has more than 19 years of experience in the field of hydrology, hydraulics and water resources. Dr. Chintalapati obtained his master’s degree in Hydromechanics and Water Resources Engineering from Indian Institute of Science, and completed his PhD in Civil Engineering from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He has been a member of various professional organizations including American Geophysical Union (AGU), Hydrology Remote Sensing Technical Committee, IEEE – Geosciences and Remote Sensing Society, International Association of Hydraulic Engineering & Research (IAHR) and American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). He is a life member of ASIE and served as a board member from 2009 to 2012, including as its President for the year 2011. HE was awarded ASIE’s Young Engineer of the Year award in 2011, and was inducted into ASIE’s 2024 Class of Honor.

Showri Nandagiri, who has served as the Engineering Coordinator for the North Harris County Regional Water Authority since 2004, retired from the City of Houston, Department of Public Works and Engineering, as City Engineer and Deputy Director. Showri worked for the City for more than 25 years and is highly regarded and widely recognized as one of the premier engineering professionals in the potable water field. A resident of Sugar Land, Showri has his Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from India and has a Master’s degree in Water Resources from the University of Connecticut. After working briefly for Turner, Collie and Braden Inc. in Houston, he joined the City as a graduate engineer in 1978. He held several positions, including Senior Assistant Director for Water Engineering and Construction Division, and Deputy Director for Engineering, Construction and Real Estate Division. He was responsible for managing the Surface Water Transmission Program for the City of Houston for over two decades.

Bhavana Patel is an Associate Principal and Lead Architect at the renowned architectural and engineering firm, Page Southerland Page Inc., where she brings over 20 years of architectural experience, primarily focused in Houston, Texas.
Bhavana’s academic foundation includes an undergraduate degree in Architecture from M.S. University in India, followed by three years of professional practice there before relocating to Houston. She earned her Master of Architecture from the University of Houston and is a licensed architect in Texas. Her graduate studies also included an international program at the Centre d’Etude d’Architecture et d’Urbanisme in Saintes, France, where she deepened her appreciation for classical architecture.
As Lead Architect at Page Southerland Page, Bhavana is responsible for overseeing the delivery of large, complex projects across a wide range of sectors, including mission-critical facilities, science and technology, and healthcare.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Bhavana is an active life member of the American Society of Indian Engineers and Architects (ASIE). She also dedicates time to volunteer work, serving as a mentor for Rice University’s Architecture Mentorship Program and regularly assisting the American Institute of Architects Houston chapter. Bhavana contributes to her community as a senior course captain for both the Houston Marathon and the Komen Houston Race for the Cure.

Varenya Mehta is a Water Engineer at Civitas Engineering Group, Inc. and the 2024 President of ASIE. With eight years of experience in water and wastewater engineering and research, he currently specializes in water transmission modeling. He holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Beyond his professional work, Varenya is an avid road trip enthusiast, having explored numerous national parks across the U.S. His ultimate goal is to support the education of underprivileged students in rural Ladakh, India, by establishing scholarships to provide them with better opportunities. Varenya has been actively involved with ASIE, serving on the Scholarship Committee and as IT Committee Chair in 2020 and 2021, Treasurer in 2022, Vice President in 2023, and later as ASIE President. In recognition of his contributions, he was honored as the 2023 ASIE Young Engineer of the Year.
