Chaitanya Kasturi is a Vice president and Senior Project Manager at Huitt-Zollars, Inc. a full service design firm transforming how we live, work and connect with our world through Advance Design. She has her Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Osmania University, Hyderabad, India and has a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Kansas. She has over 15+ years of diversified experience as a Civil Engineer providing design and project management expertise for public agencies and private clients. She is also extremely well-versed in roadway design, utilities, traffic control plans, and construction issues relating to urban street and drainage projects. Ms. Chaitanya has demonstrated knowledge, diligence, and leadership on projects she has managed, and with her ability to quickly analyze problems and outline necessary courses of action assures projects are delivered on time, on budget, and of high quality.Kasturi is a licensed Professional Engineer in Texas and a Project Management Professional (PMP). Ms. Kasturi has been an active member of ASCE , ASIE , NSPE / TSPE for several years. She served as Membership Chair in 2017, Secretary in 2018 and Vice President in 2019. She has also served on the Scholarship and Fundraising Committees in the previous years.
Raj Tanwani has over 30 years of experience in the field of planning, design, construction, and project management of public works projects. He has extensive experience in the design and construction management of large and complex public infrastructure projects, including several signature projects in the Greater Houston area. He has presented several papers at international conferences on trenchless technology and utility construction and has authored a manual on Trenchless Construction Methods and Equipment and is the recipient of ASCE’s John O. Bickel award for the best paper in Construction Engineering and Management. He actively participates in several organizations including ASIE and ASCE. He is Life Member and Past President of ASIE.
Chad Patel has Bachelor of Science from M. S. University, Vadodara, India and Master of Science from University of Houston. Chad has over 40 years of experience and currently works as Chief Technical Advisor for KBR.
Chad currently serves ASIE as the Chair of the Advisory Council and has previously served as (2000), Secretary (2001), Professional Development Committee Chair (2009‐2011), Vice President (2011).
Chad has also served the community as Program and Seminar Committee Chair: India’s Millennium celebration program (2001), Committee Chair for Indo‐American Earth Quake Relief fund Distribution committee (2001), Neighborhood Representative: Lake of Austin Parkway (Years 2005 – 2010), Vice President of Global Organization of People of Indian Origin (2011 – 2012), Telfair Neighborhood 18: (2011, 2012, 2016), Indo American Forum of Fort Bend: in the committee (2017) and Treasurer (2018 and 2019). Chad has also volunteered for March of dimes, Katrina relief –Neighbors to Neighbors program, 1000 Lights for Peace, MDA walk, Houston Area Women’s Center, Science Fair, Mathcount, Daya, IACCGH and Project Cure.
Raghavender Nednur, Managing Engineer in the Houston Public Works Department leads the Collection System Analysis Group of Wastewater Operations Branch. Mr. Nednur has over 26 years of experience with municipality and engineering consultants in civil/environmental engineering. He graduated from Osmania University with bachelor’s in civil engineering and from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale with a master’s in civil engineering and is a licensed engineer in the State of Texas. Mr. Nednur started as an Engineer with the City of Houston Wastewater Operations Branch in 2006. He currently manages two (2) groups with thirty (30) employees and is responsible for various planning and engineering aspects of wastewater collection system including the issuance of Work Orders to sanitary sewers preventive maintenance, inspection and rehabilitation, excursion tracking system, repeat sanitary sewers overflows analysis, Capital Improvement Projects creation and review.
