ASIE Student Scholarships

For the benefit of deserving Indo-American students ASIE has been awarding scholarships in the amount of $500 for more than 10 years. The students of Houston area public universities are awarded the scholarships based on their qualifications and credentials. A Scholarship form developed by the ASIE Scholarship Committee is distributed to the universities during second half of the year. Applications from Fall students are accepted and reviewed by the Scholarship committee. The winning students are awarded the scholarship certificates and check for $500 during ASIE Fall/ Diwali event. The Scholarship Application Form for this year's scholarship will be available at public universities and on ASIE’s website on 08/22/ 2012.

Eligibility:

The Scholarship candidate is pursuing a career in Engineering, Engineering related Sciences and Architecture.
Scholarship candidate must be an undergraduate student or graduate student, in good standing, currently enrolled full time for Undergraduate Program or Graduate Program in the College of Engineering/Architecture at a University. The student would be enrolled in the university for Fall 2013 and Spring 2014
Scholarship candidate shall be enrolled in an A.B.E.T. accredited Engineering/Architecture curriculum within the Greater Houston Metropolitan Area or affiliated to universities within the Greater Houston Area.
Scholarship candidate shall demonstrate involvement in extracurricular activities.
Scholarship candidate must be a citizen/resident alien of the United States. Students currently on Non-Immigrant Visas (F-1, H-4 etc.) may also apply.
Scholarship candidate must be an Indo-American, Indian or must have an Indian heritage.

ASIE Scholarship Program is funded by funds raised during ASIE events and donating members and companies.The forms are due back to ASIE by Friday, 09/20/ 2013.
